Owner/Operator Rob Scoma was born and raised in the Bay Area, CA. From his first summer job in a cabinet shop, he has had a lifelong infatuation with building. His teen years and early 20’s were spent building custom homes, and learning all about cabinetry, CAD design, and CNC machining. In 2008, Kindwood opened its doors in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Since opening, Kindwood and our talented team of craftsmen have completed hundreds of custom projects in the greater Bay Area and beyond. A sampling of Kindwood’s project portfolio can be found here.
ESTABLISHED IN 2008
Every project presents its own unique challenges. Working hand in hand with owners, architects, designers, and contractors, we understand that strong communication is essential to a successful project. Through our process, we work to effectively communicate ideas, develop plans, and create build solutions tailored to your custom project. Whether it's developing an existing design or starting from a sketch, we can develop details into technical drawings and photo-like 3d renders. Our planning packets serve as a great tool for achieving design approval, organizing room schedules, accurate bidding, and centralized information amongst the trades.
COMMUNICATION IS OUR CORNERSTONE
“I love the process. The interaction. Realizing someone’s vision and then bringing that vision to life. Adding value to their home and building lasting relationships. The ability to challenge ourselves daily and take extreme pride in our work, it’s all the good stuff to a life well-lived.”
